Series: Moonlighters Series #3

Holly has finally turned her life around. A new baby, a house, and sisters that are supporting her. Holly is determined for the father of her baby to never find out anything about the baby. Until one cab ride and one visit from the police turn her world upside down.

This series has been so much fun to read. I love the strong sense of family and supporting each other. Holly's determination to figure out what was going on with Creed, her baby's father, put me on the edge of my seat. I was so sure she would end up getting in more trouble for going out on her own, without the police, but what happened instead, could only be God's perfect plan. Only God could turn a tragedy and a mistake into a blessing.

One of the quotes I found very intriguing was "God will give you what you choose." I read that and thought, how true. Sometimes when we pray we get upset because God didn't answer our prayers, but what if we stopped and thought about it for a minute. Perhaps he did answer our prayer, but it was what we chose that was the mistake?

"Christians aren't immune to tragedy. We can't use this fallen world to gauge our value to God." I absolutely love this quote shared between Holly's sisters, Cathy and Juliet. We often wonder why things happen to us and feel like we must have done something wrong or God is somehow punishing us. But, that's not how God works. He loves us so much that he sent his only Son to die on the cross for us. Nothing we do can make God love us any more, and nothing we do can make God love us any less.

I was graciously provided a free digital copy of this book from Zondervan in partnership with LitFuse and NetGalley to review it. I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Great review! I love Terri Blackstock and really enjoyed the first of this series. I'm always starting series and forgetting to finish them. I'm in the middle of all too many! But I really want to read the next two.
